Driller's Handbook
The NDA Driller's Handbook contains information on a variety of drilling practices and procedures used in the industry. It is the basis for the NDA Drillers Certification Program and is designed to increase drilling skills and knowledge. The comprehensive 300 page handbook provides materials, tables, problem solving information and a basic overview of operating procedures for specialized tools that are unique to the drilling industry.

Group Dynamics at the Annual Convention
NDA members form a unique resource pool to share information and knowledge of how to meet the challenges drilling contractors face every day. The presentations and roundtable discussions at the Annual Convention provide members the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the industry while socializing with drill contractors and manufacturers who share a passion for the drilling industry.

Safety Label Kits
Drilling equipment safety label kits have been developed through the combined efforts of NDA and DCDMA with input from the National Ground Water Association and in accordance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) guidelines for Product Safety Signs and Labels. The labels are intended to establish a uniform and consistent visual layout for safety signs and labels in the drilling industry. Labels warn against the most common and most dangerous hazards and supplement the safety efforts of the individual company.

Drilling Safety Guide
The 42-page NDA Drilling Safety Guide is recognized throughout the U.S. as a guideline for the safe operation of drilling equipment.

Drillers Certification
NDA offers certification for Senior Drillers, Journeyman and Monitor Well Drillers. Exams test the driller's knowledge in five areas: geology and groundwater movement, drilling practice, drill rig safety, monitoring well installation, and geotechnical drilling procedures. This certification program is the only one in the drilling industry and is being considered as the basis for licensing in several states.

Drill Bits
Drill Bits is the official publication of NDA with a circulation of over 9,000 drilling professionals as well as engineers, general contractors and government officials who specify drilling services. Drill Bits is targeted to geotechnical, environmental and mineral exploration sectors of the drilling industry. Job stories from member companies offer contractors a chance to highlight their drilling capabilities.

DCDMA Technical Manual
DCDMA is a group of manufacturers of core and soil drilling equipment dedicated to setting standards for drilling equipment. The 120-page DCDMA Technical Manual covers rods, casing, core barrels, diamond bits, soil tools, fluids, horsepower, hoisting, torque, bit wear and more.

Membership Directory
NDA actively promotes the drilling industry and its contractor members to specifiers. The directory that lists contractor members is provided to specifiers searching for a drilling contractor. The Membership Directory is also available on this website.
